WONDER WOMAN: TV or not TV? That's the question.

Back in October 2010 it was announced that David E. Kelley was working on a pilot for a new Wonder Woman series.
In early January, it appeared that it wasn't going to happen.
But now this past week it seems to be on again.

I'm not sure how excited I am. I would love a Wonder Woman series. But the description seems a bit off:
“Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.”
Still, it has also been mentioned that Kelley's take:
"...incorporated the superhero’s signature lasso, cuffs, and plane in the script, and insiders said it was a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character."
I'm all for adaptations. And understand changes will be made. My main concern is that they'll use the "Wonder Woman" brand/name to sell the show, and then just have it be Diana Prince, Super Spy. Without any powers or Amazon heritage.

I guess we'll see.

Of course, optioning the pilot means nothing. The show may never even get past that stage if NBC doesn't like what they see...
