In early January, it appeared that it wasn't going to happen.
But now this past week it seems to be on again.
I'm not sure how excited I am. I would love a Wonder Woman series. But the description seems a bit off:
“Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.”Still, it has also been mentioned that Kelley's take:
"...incorporated the superhero’s signature lasso, cuffs, and plane in the script, and insiders said it was a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character."I'm all for adaptations. And understand changes will be made. My main concern is that they'll use the "Wonder Woman" brand/name to sell the show, and then just have it be Diana Prince, Super Spy. Without any powers or Amazon heritage.
I guess we'll see.
Of course, optioning the pilot means nothing. The show may never even get past that stage if NBC doesn't like what they see...
